Tadgh Quill
Tadgh Quill-Manley (born 19 March 2002) is an Irish video blogger from County Cork, Ireland.[1] He created his first YouTube channel on the 14th of November, 2012. He appeared in the background of several episodes in the second season of RTÉ's Una's Dream Ticket in 2014.[2]His first short film, YOLO was placed second in the Junior Final of the 2015 Fresh Film Festival-Ireland's Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards.[3] He was presented with his award by former Irish pop star, turned television presenter and reality television personality Emma O'Driscoll and Irish actor and writer, Pat Shortt. He produced a music video following this result. 'I'd Write Your Name' by 'A Weekend Away' was released online on the 11th of April, 2015.
Tadgh has also shown horses[4][5][6] competitively in Ireland [7][8][9][10] and has competed in Irish dressage.[11][12] He currently attends Christians Brothers College, Cork (known colloquially as 'Christians'), having attended its preparatory school at primary level, before entering its secondary school. In 2009, at the age of 7, he was accepted into the Centre for the Talented Youth of Ireland.[13] CTYI is described as 'providing enrichment courses for students with high academic ability' up to the age of 17.[14] The program is run by Dublin City University. He is also a member of the Labour Party. One of his great-grandfathers, Timothy Quill, was a Labour T.D and co-founder of the Cork Co-operative Society. He canvassed alongside politician and former Minister of State Kathleen Lynch for candidate Luke Carroll at the 2019 Cork City Council Local Elections.
