Draft:Tafsir Naeemi
Tafsir Naeemi is a famous exegesis of the Holy Quran in Urdu consisting of 11 volumes[1] till 11 Parah of the Holy Quran written by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi (died 1391 AH / 1971 AD). It is counted among ashraf at-tafaaseer ("the best exegeses"), and this Ashraf al-Tafaseer (1363 AH) is its historical name too. He started writing it down in 1945[2] till his passing away in 1971 and completed till 11 Parahs in 11 great volumes. One of the reasons for its popularity[3] is that under each Verse, it presents the following 11 discussions, a quality which is not present in other exegeses, in an easy to understand way that all kinds of people[4] from all walks of life can benefit from them:
- the text of the Arabic verse
- the literal translation
- the idiomatic translation
- the relationships of verses
- the reasons of revelation
- the explanation of verse
- the summary of the explanation
- the lessons
- the Islamic laws
- the objections and answers
- the mystical interpretation
This tafsir is based on Tafsir Ruh al-Bayah (by Allamah Ismail Haqqi), Tafsir Kabir, Tafsir Azizi, Tafsir Madarik (by Imam Nasafi), Tafsir Ibn Arabi (by Allamah Muh ud-Din Arabi), etc.
