Talkwalker Inc. is a social media analytics firm based in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. It was founded in 2009 by Thibaut Britz and Christophe Folschette.

History[edit]

In 2015, Talkwalker opened its first overseas office in New York City. Offices also opened in San Francisco and Frankfurt in 2017. In January 2017, Talkwaker raised 5 million euros by Dutch investment firm Main Mezzanine Capital to support company development and strengthen its international team. It also aims at company research on artificial intelligence.[1][2][3]

The Talkwalker platform is used by corporations including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Equinix, Benetton and PwC[4][5] as well as international agencies Peppercom, Publicis, Ogilvy.[citation needed]

Talkwalker has been quoted on news and media websites including Forbes,[6] The Wall Street Journal,[7] Reuters,[8] USA Today,[9] People magazine,[10] Le Point,[11] and 20 minutes (France). According to the Luxembourgish daily newspaper, Luxemburger Wort, Talkwalker is among the top 10 online reputation and sentiment analysis tools.[2] Forbes magazine said: "Talkwalker, one of the world’s leading social data intelligence companies ... uses cutting edge technology to provide actionable social media insights."[6] PC Magazine also ranks Talkwalker among its best social listening and influencer identification tools of 2017.[12]
