Tanaya Sachdeva is an Indian model and actress. Sachdeva was born in Delhi, India on 15 October, 1996, to Seema Sachdeva and Vijay Kumar Sachdeva. She made her Bollywood debut with Parched, a drama film where she played the character of Rekha. She is known for playing the role of Aditi Rao in the Disney+ Hotstar series, Special Ops[1], opposite Vipul Gupta.
Career[edit]
Sachdeva began acting from an early age. In 2010, she was presented with the National Award for Artistic Talent by the President of India[2] and also the "Meri Dilli Award" for Best Child Artist by the Chief Minister of Delhi. In that same year, she hosted the IPL T20 cricket league as a Junior Anchor[3] with Daniel Vettori. As a model, Sachdeva has worked for a variety of Indian and international brands and has walked the ramp at Wills Fashion Week 2009 for Anita Dongre. She made her movie debut in 2015 with the Telugu film, Dohchay. She entered Bollywood with the critically-acclaimed movie, Parched. Released in 2016, it is a Hindi drama film revolving around the tortured lives of women in a village of Rajasthan and was written and directed by Leena Yadav. Sachdeva played the role of an erotic dancer named Rekha. In 2019, she was featured in the music video “Laado” by the Sufi artist, Sonia Arora.[4] She is one of the cast members of the Hotstar series, Special Ops, created by Neeraj Pandey. She plays the role of Aditi Rao in this spy fiction show that is based on multiple espionage missions of India.[1]
