Tanka association
A Tanka association Kesha (結社) is a literary association in Japan
Associations in literature
In modern society, the word "Kesha (結社)" is often used mainly in the poetry circles, haiku circles, and *yanagidan*.
Poets, haiku poets, and Senryu poets belong to tanka, haiku, and Senryu associations to publish their tanka and haiku works, and contribute to magazines published by these associations. This has been the tradition since the Meiji era, when tanka and haiku were reformed from the art forms they had been to modern literature art.
In Chinese poetry, "shisha", a group of poets, was formed around the time of the Northern Song in China and engaged in activities similar to those of the aforementioned tanka and other associations.
