Taraj (Persian: تاراج, meaning Plunder)) is a 1985 Iranian film directed by Iraj Ghaderi, produced by Mohammad Tobekhah and written by Saeed Motalabi based on the story of Alireza Davoudnejad. It stars Jamshid Hashempour, Behzad Javanbakhsh and Fakhri Khorvash. The story of the film, narrated before the Iranian Revolution, deals with addiction and drug trafficking.[1][2][3][4][5]
Synopsis
Zeinal Bandari is an opium dealer with a past criminal record. He is nabbed in a series of arrests of drug traffickers by Iranian DEA. He is then convicted in court and sentenced to death, but his sentence is changed to five years in prison by paying a bribe. He is released after a year and sells drugs again until…
