Mamedov Tariel Aydin oghlu (Azerbaijani: Tariyel Aydın oğlu Məmmədov; born 1949), is the Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Art Criticism, Professor, and the founder and Head Editor of the journal "Musigi Dunyasi" ("Music World").[1]

Biography

Tariyel Aydın oğlu Mammadov was born in Baku in 1949. In 1974, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory majoring in "History and Music Theory".

He is the author of books such as "Songs by Koroghlu " (in Russian) (1978), "Traditional melodies of Azerbaijan ashigs" (in Russian) (1989), "Ashig art" (2002), "Azerbaijan classical ashig melodies" (2009), "Koroghlu ashig havalari" (2010) and numerous works on music theoretical folklore and ashig science.[2]
