Tata Main Hospital (TMH)
Tata Main Hospital (TMH), Jamshedpur, is a multi-specialty teaching hospital located in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. It was established in 1908 to provide healthcare services to employees of Tata Iron and Steel Company (now Tata Steel).
The hospital subsequently expanded its clinical services and infrastructure and currently functions as a tertiary care center, catering to patients from Jharkhand and neighboring states including Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh.
Tata Main Hospital is recognized by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for postgraduate medical training and has been accredited for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) programs since 1999. As of 2025, it offers postgraduate training in multiple clinical specialties and super-specialties. The hospital is affiliated with Manipal-Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur, for undergraduate medical education (MBBS), with an approved annual intake of 150 students.
