Tatoeba Konna Love Song (Japanese: たとえばこんなラヴ・ソング, Hepburn: Tatoeba Konna Rabu Songu, lit. "For Example, This is a Love Song") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Taku Kitazaki. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from June 1990 to December 1991, with its chapters collected in six tankōbon volumes.

Plot[edit]

The story revolves around a love triangle that forms between Ryusuke, Ryusuke's first girlfriend, Hitomi, and Mariko, who Ryusuke has been dating.

Characters[edit]

Ryusuke Takase (高瀬 龍介, Takase Ryuusuke)
A student at the University of Tokyo. He excels at sports and is a very good student. Despite his good looks, he is not a skilled lover.
Hitomi Nanao (七穂 瞳, Nanao Hitomi)
Ryusuke's former girlfriend. They encounter each other again in college.
Mariko Yagi (八木 真里子, Yagi Mariko)
Ryusuke's current girlfriend. She has short hair and is attending a women's university.
Eiichi Okabe (岡部 栄一, Okabe Eiichi)
A biker that attended the same middle school as Ryusuke and Hitomi many years ago.
Hitomi's Tutor
He is currently enrolled at Hitotsubashi University and harbors feelings for Hitomi.

Publication[edit]

Tatoeba Konna Love Song is written and illustrated by Taku Kitazaki. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from June 27, 1990 to December 4, 1991.[1] Shogakukan collected its chapters in six tankōbon volumes, released from February 18 to December 11, 1991.[2][3] Shogakukan re-released it in a four-volume wide-ban edition from March 16 to September 16, 1999,[4] and in a four-volume bunkoban edition from January 15 to April 15, 2005.[5]
