Tax-Free Wealth is a best-selling 2012 book written by Tom Wheelwright (author), founder and CEO of WealthAbility[1] and then-CEO of ProVision [2], with a foreword by American businessman and author Robert Kiyosaki.[3][4] Published in 2012, the book was substantially revised and republished in 2018 following the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.[5][6]
Summary[edit]
Wheelwright, who had previously collaborated with Kiyosaki on his Rich Dad series of books and seminars, wrote ‘’Tax-Free Wealth’’ - Tax Audit - (another title from the Rich Dad brand), to help combat what he described as the “financial illiteracy”.[7] One of the main assertions made in the book is that US tax law is intended to stimulate economic growth rather than to increase tax revenue.[8][9] ‘’Tax-Free Wealth’’ is aimed at investors and business owners who want to minimize their tax-spending in legal ways.[10][11] The book encourages investment in stocks and in sectors like real estate and energy, as well as opening small businesses as a way to benefit from current tax laws.[12][13] The book also gives advice on selecting personal accountants[14], and taking advantage of tax shelters. The book is written in a style intended to make taxes seem fun and easy to people unfamiliar with tax law.[15]
