Taylor & Hart (formerly known as Rare Pink) is a privately held jewellery company headquartered in London, England. The company specialises in designing, manufacturing, and selling bespoke engagement and wedding rings online.[3] Taylor & Hart serves customers worldwide primarily through its e-commerce platform, supplemented by their physical stores and showrooms based in London and New York City.[4][5] In addition to the gemstones used in the design of the jewelry, the company sets a small ruby inside of every ring as a trademark.[6]

Background

Taylor & Hart was founded in 2013 by current CEO Nikolay Piriankov and CFO Shane Hunt as Rare Pink.[7][8][9] Through a campaign on Seedrs, an online crowdfunding platform, Taylor & Hart raised over £195,000 by April 2014.[10][11][12][13][14]

Rebranding in 2017 as Taylor & Hart, the company closed a seed round of £1M in 2018, led by Bulgarian LAUNCHub Ventures and supported by London-based Garage Soho, an early stage investor and brand builder.[15][16][17]

In August 2019, the company raised over £3.6m ($4.4m) in growth funding in a round led by Active Partners, with participation from LAUNCHub Ventures and Paddy Byng.[18][19][20]

In February 2020, Taylor & Hart opened its first in-house workshop in Holborn, London, bringing manufacturing and finishing processes under one roof.[21][22]

In April 2025, Taylor & Hart opened a showroom at 69-71 Monmouth Street in Covent Garden, London, offering customers the opportunity to browse designs, try on a range of styles, and book in-person consultations.[23]

Products

Taylor & Hart's main products are engagement and wedding rings. Following an online or in-person consultation and design process, custom rings and other jewelry pieces are produced for individual customers at the company's headquarters in London.[24][25]

Sustainability and Sourcing

The company offers natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as natural coloured gemstones, each accompanied by certification from the Gemological Institute of America or International Gemological Institute.[10] For natural diamonds, Taylor & Hart works with Diamond Time Lapse[26], a program that provides detailed provenance information, documenting each diamond's journey from mine to consumer.[27] Additionally, the company sources diamonds from manufacturers adhering to the United Nations Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, a process established in 2003 to prevent "conflict diamonds" from entering the mainstream rough diamond market.[28]

Certifications

Recognition

Among the company's achievements are winning the title of New Jeweller of the Year 2014 at the British Jewellers' Association Awards,[33] and winning the Marketing Campaign of the Year award in Retail Jeweller's UK Awards 2019.[34][35] In 2022 Taylor & Hart won Best Bespoke Engagement Ring & Jewellery Company – London[36] and also Jewellery Team of the Year hosted by Professional Jeweller.[37][38]
