Tbilisi Fortress - a feudal fortress in the south-eastern part of Tbilisi, on the eastern extension of the rocky massif of Sololaki Alley, on an elongated and high rocky ridge. It is first mentioned in the sources under the name of Kala in connection with the news of the IV century. Later it is mentioned as the fortress of envy, later - as the fortress of the city, Tbilisi and Narikala. It is suggested that the site of the castle dates back to ancient times (a bronze sword of the XIII-XII centuries BC was found).
