The 2017 Macedonian protests, more commonly known as the Red-and-Yellow protest!, were mass protests against the opposition-led plan to ignite a plan to use Albanian as a national language. President Gjorge Ivanov refused to discuss a mandate for a new government, being one of the main triggers of the protest. The protests began on 27 February, in Skopje, and continued for the next 79 days, until a subtle agreement was agreed upon by the European Union and the Macedonian government, in a deal to end the crisis.
