Team Cherry is a Australian game developer, responsible for Hollow Knight, and Hollow Knight: Silksong. they currently have 3 employees.

They made hollow knight in the Unity game engine, and did scripting for much of the game using the scripting package playmaker. the environment was done using 2D assets layered in a 3D environment using many of Unity's out-of-the-box 2D features, including 2D Physics, Sprite Packer, and the Particle System with the help of 2D Toolkit.[1]
they created the sprites in Photoshop using hand-drawn art and traditional animation.

the members of team cherry bonded over there love for Zelda II in 2012, and team cherry was formed.[1]
