Tekion is an American cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) company that develops softwares centering automotive industry.[1][2] Founded in 2016 by Jay Vijayan and Guru Sankararaman, Tekion operated in stealth mode for initial few years after inception up until early 2019.[3][4][5]
In 2020, Tekion launched Automotive Retail Cloud (ARC), an AI-driven retail and dealer management system.[6][7] Later that same year, Tekion became a unicorn after raising $150 million as part of its series C funding round led by private equity firm Advent International.[2][8]
In October 2021, Tekion raised $250 million in its series D funding round led by Alkeon Capital and Durable Capital valuing the company at $3.5 billion.[9][10]
