Tel Arad, Israel
Tel Arad (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) or Tell 'Arad (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) is an unrecognized Bedouin village, located north-west of the city of Arad, in southern Israel, with a population of 1,700 residents as of ca. 2020.[1] The archeological site of Tel Arad, after which the village was named, is located nearby.[1]
The pre-1948 residents of the area were the Jahalin tribe, who were transferred from the Negev desert in 1951 by Israel, and now reside in the area of Mishor Adumim in the West Bank.[1] After Israel's establishment, the state transferred to the Tel Arad area internally displaced Bedouin from other areas of the Negev, mostly from around Lakiya.[1]
