Telleport is a VPN service offering a suite of application software for platforms like Microsoft Windows, Android, Google Chrome and other web browsers. Telleport is developed and maintained by Telleport LLC. The company is ragistered in Armenia, which is not a part of the Five Eyes and Fourteen Eyes intelligence alliances.
History[edit]
Telleport was founded in 2018, and launched its first Windows app on Microsoft Store[2] and a browser extension for Google Chrome on Chrome Web Store[4]. The first Telleport mobile app was available on Google Play Store in June 2022[3]. As of October 2022, Telleport was operating 570 servers in 20 countries.[5]
Features[edit]
Like other VPN services, Telleport applications have the ability to route the client's internet traffic through a UDP encrypted tunnel to a remote VPN server run by the service, to mask client's actual IP address and to encrypt all inbound and outbound traffic on the client's device. Telleport introduced its WireGuard-based Telleport Protocol technology in 2022 for incoming and outgoing data encryption. The service offers free, monthly and annual subscription plans.[6]
