Teltonika is a Lithuanian company group developing and manufacturing IoT technology devices.[1][2] In 2020, Teltonika Networks, one of the group subsidiary companies, held the largest cellular IoT gateways and routers market share in Europe.[3] In 2021, Teltonika was one of the five companies with the biggest telematics hardware market share worldwide.[4]

In 2022, Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Teltonika announced their cooperation in establishing the semiconductor technology industry in Lithuania, following the country’s ambition to become one of the main players in the global semiconductor industry.[2][5][6][7] The agreement, signed in January, 2023, and valued at €14 million, authorises the company group to receive licences for semiconductor chip manufacturing technologies developed by ITRI.[2][5][8] €10 million in this deal was granted by Taiwan’s foreign ministry, and €4 million comes from the company group.[2][7] Teltonika’s semiconductor production is planned to launch in 2027.[7]
