Temple Stadium is the working name for a proposed stadium to be built on the campus of Temple University in North Philadelphia. It is proposed as the new home of the Temple Owl's football team and for other multipurpose reasons. It would serve as the replacement to their current home at Lincoln Financial Field, where the team has resided since 2003. If completed, the stadium would be the first stadium built on Temple University's campus.[2]

Summary[edit]

Temple University has proposed a 35,000 seat stadium located on Temple's campus. A proposal to submit the plan to the Philadelphia City Council was scrapped in June 2018 following backlash from neighbors. Although, the proposal remains on the table, Temple is in talks with the Eagles to extend their contract at Lincoln Financial Field.
