TenantCloud was founded in 2014 in Austin, Texas by Joe Edgar to develop real estate software for landlords.[3][4] The current tool includes accounting, listing, marketing, digital documents signing, data storage, and rent collection. [5]

The company raised about $2 million in seed funding in August 2016.[6] It has expanded to 40 countries and 6000 cities. [7] Since 2016 TenantCloud is rated as one of the best Property Management Software by Reviews.com. [8] In June 2018 TenantCloud brought in $3 million in additional investment. [9]
