History[edit]

Alejandro De Vicente initially wanted to make a company to localize and publish visual novels, but had difficulty licensing titles and changed to a light novel publisher along the way[3].

They launched as as a bilingual publisher, publishing books in English and Spanish[4] with volumes of There's No Way a Side Character Like Me Could Be Popular, Right?, Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!, and World Teacher releasing in Spanish[5][6]. When acquiring the licenses for “There's No Way a Side Character Like Me Could Be Popular, Right?” and “Welcome to the Outcasts Restaurant[5].from Overlap, they were single volumes[3].

They later announced Turning the Tables on the Seatmate Killer[7], From Toxic Classmate to Girlfriend Goals, You Like Me, Don’t You? So, Wanna Go Out With Me?, and I Kissed My Girlfriend's Little Sister?! via a Twitter thread and livestream[8]

They have since stopped releasing new volumes in Spanish due to a lack of viability and profit and the team has been downsized since the initial launch.[3]

Physical Copies[edit]

Tentai Books releases physical copies of all of their titles. They have stated that this is due to being a requirement of their licensing deals from the Japanese side. They focus on small print runs.[3]
