Terracon is a U.S. based 100% Employee owned consulting firm. Terracon primarily provides services within the United States related to engineering and other scientific matters, including facilities, geotechnical, environmental, construction, and materials engineering and testing.

Terracon is an American engineering consulting services firm headquartered in Olathe, Kansas.[1] The company has over 5000 employees and more than 175 locations in the United States.[2]
The company has consistently placed in the top 25 design firms by Engineering News-Record.[3][2]
Terracon has been referred to as a "serial acquirer" and is one of the most active US ESOP based purchasers.[4]
History and Acquisitions[edit]
In 1965 the company later known as Terracon was founded as Soil Testing Services of Iowa, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with Gerald R. Olson as CEO[5][6][7][8]
- 1997: David Gaboury becomes president[9] later becoming CEO
- 2017: Vasan Srinivasan becomes president[9]
- 2018: Gayle Packer becomes president[10][11]
- 2019: Gayle Packer becomes CEO[12]
