Terracon is an American engineering consulting services firm headquartered in Olathe, Kansas.[1] The company has over 5000 employees and more than 175 locations in the United States.[2]
The company has consistently placed in the top 25 design firms by Engineering News-Record.[3][2]
Terracon has been referred to as a "serial acquirer" and is one of the most active US ESOP based purchasers.[4]
History and Acquisitions[edit]
In 1965 the company later known as Terracon was founded as Soil Testing Services of Iowa, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with Gerald R. Olson as CEO[5][6][7][8]
- 1997: David Gaboury becomes president[9] later becoming CEO
- 2017: Vasan Srinivasan becomes president[9]
- 2018: Gayle Packer becomes president[10][11]
- 2019: Gayle Packer becomes CEO[12]
