Moser’s Foods, based in Columbia, Missouri, is a local chain of 8 soft discount supermarkets located across central Missouri.[2]
History
Moser’s Foods was founded by Roger Moser in 1982.[3] In 2001, Harps became employee-owned after buying company shares from the Harp family. The stores were originally supplied by Norfolk, Nebraska-based Affiliated Foods Midwest and are now supplied by C&S Wholesale Grocers. The company is valued around $550 million, and employed 1,200 people as of 2021.[4] The company announced plans on March 6, 2015, to acquire a locally owned Columbia-based grocery store called Patricia’s Foods.[5]
