Terrance Michael McLeod (born April 22, 1989) is an American filmmaker, cinematographer, and producer. He is best known for writing and directing the romantic drama A Season for Love (2025), which premiered at the San Diego Black Film Festival and won Best Narrative Feature at the Filmteenth International Film Festival. He is the founder of Auteur Vision LLC and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Early life
Terrance McLeod was born in Auburn, New York, to Angela McLeod and Ferris Smith. He served in the United States Air Force before transitioning into a career in film and media production.
Career
McLeod began working in independent film in 2016 and founded his production company, Auteur Vision LLC. He also served as Vice President of Production at Genesis Creative Entertainment Group. Before writing and directing narrative films, McLeod worked as a cinematographer and camera operator on a range of short films and independent features.
A Season for Love
McLeod’s feature directorial debut, A Season for Love (2025), tells the story of two Black professionals navigating romance, ambition, and family expectations. The film premiered at the San Diego Black Film Festival and later screened at the Rhode Island Black Film Festival and Filmteenth International Film Festival, where it won Best Narrative Feature. McLeod served as writer, director, producer, and cinematographer on the project.
