Testmate is an automation tool for functional and regression tests. It is the only free automation tool that can natively automate Java Swing, WPF, Win32, Web, and Native Mobile apps. Testmate uses VBScript to write test procedures.[1]
Description
Testmate was originally a hobby project but was recently released in the public domain for free. It is still in an evolving state; however, it is viewed as a free alternative to UFT by some. The onboarding time for anyone who is already acquainted with VBScript is merely less than 30 minutes.

Automate Win32 and WPF Applications

Java Swing
This capability has been recently added to Testmate. It utilizes Java Access Bridge to automate Swing applications. Check here for more details.
Web Browser
The automation of web-browsers is powered by Selenium WebDriver. This makes it the only available tool that uses VBScript for automation.[2]

Testmate utilizes Appium to power its mobile app engine[3]

Commandline
