Textool Balasundaram (Damodaraswamy Balasundaram Naidu) (31 August 1913 – 09 September 2009) was an Indian industrialist, engineer and philanthropist promoted vendor concept and helped formation several small units in and around Coimbatore in the newly independent India. He is credited for developing the country's first electric motor with 'copper rotor welding' technology in India. His support to small vendors starting with supply of industrial parts to Textool in Avarampalayam & Ganapathy then has now benefitted industrialization in Coimbatore in a big way.
