The Anarchist Library is an archive focused on the archiving and preservation of modern anarchist texts and literature. While it covers a diverse set of anarchist ideologies, texts in the Anarchist Library only encompass anarchist ideologies focused on the abolition of the state, along with the abolition of capital, ruling out many ideologies considered to be oxymorons within anarchist circles, such as anarcho-capitalism[1][2]. The Anarchist Library itself calls anarcho-capitalism an oxymoron.[3]
The archive, being around since 2009, is a valuable resource to anarchists that wish to print and spread their own work, or read and learn more about anarchism and anarchist theory. Because of this, the Anarchist Library features thousands of authors, ranging from entire groups and organizations, to individuals. Some famous individuals featured on the archive include Murray Bookchin, Janet Biehl, David Graeber, and Iain McKay, the main contributor and editor of An Anarchist FAQ.[4]
