The Arlook Group.[1] is a talent and literary management, production and consulting company established by Richard Arlook in 2008. Based in Beverly Hills and New York, the company specializes in representation, TV/film development, and brand consulting. The company's roster of clients include a variety of writers, directors, and talent working at the height of their craft including Oscar nominees, festival winners, and marquee auspices.

Background[edit]

Prior to founding The Arlook Group in 2008, Richard was a senior partner and the Head of Motion Picture Lit. at The Gersh Agency, where he worked for nearly two decades. Some of Richard’s clients include Amy Koppelman[2], Keith Gordon[3], Morgan Spurlock[4], Hart Bochner[5], Stephanie Sanditz, Richard Wenk, Bronwen Hughes[6], Alan Shapiro, Christopher Neil, and Young Il Kim.

In 2016, Jack Greenbaum, launched the company's New York office. In addition to managing traditional screenwriters and filmmakers, he represents playwrights, authors, journalists, and comedians, transitioning them into the entertainment landscape.

Current projects in development and production include: Popular with Berlanti Productions[7][8]; The Big Hack with Topic/First Look Media; Brown with Star Thrower Entertainment[9]; A Mouthful of Air, from writer Amy Koppelman and with Amanda Seyfried attached to star; Space Oddity[10] by Rebecca Banner; and A Letter from Rose Kennedy, the story of the troubled life of Rosemary Kennedy and her struggle with a mental disability, with Elisabeth Moss attached to star. Richard is also currently in the process of re-making After Midnight, the first feature film he ever produced back in 1989. It is a horror film told as an anthology, with three different but interconnected storylines running within the film.

Richard is also set to produce the upcoming feature Rodham[11], a co-production between Temple Hill Entertainment and Lionsgate, which tells the story of Hillary Rodham Clinton's early years as a young lawyer in Arkansas during the Watergate scandal. Rodham was written by Richard’s client Young Il Kim, whose script garnered Young the fourth highest spot on the 2012’s Black List[12], which ranks the hottest unproduced scripts in Hollywood [13][14].

Television[edit]

On the television side of the business, Richard has developed series with a number of premiere networks, including HBO[15], AMC[16], Warner Brothers TV, Nickelodeon[17] & E! Network[18]. Currently, The Arlook Group is also working on a variety of TV projects such as: Extreme Dining with Super Delicious; Saints and Sinners by Amy Talkington and with Turner North Productions.
