In September 2020, McG confirmed plans for a third film, with the story already written. The filmmaker however stated that whether it gets made, depends on the reception of Killer Queen.[1] The filmmaker stated that the third movie, will reveal answers to plot-threads from the previous two installments that are left unanswered.[2]
