Premise[edit]

Casting[edit]

On February 20, 2018, Gage Golightly was cast in the lead role as Kate, a struggling actress who’s unable to catch a break. Kate wishes to play a role with a “hero line,” and finally might have found it when she and her best friend stumble upon the crashed spaceship.[3] The next day, Quinta Brunson was cast as Ruby, a hyper-intelligent, upbeat MIT graduate, whom hasn’t been able to hold down an engineering job due to her interests constantly changing, so she works at her parents’ business, a birthday party place/pizza restaurant for kids. But with the arrival of a crashed spaceship, Ruby finally might have found her mission.[5] On March 1, 2018, Josh Helman was cast as Quinn, a space-cop from another galaxy, who has crash-landed on Earth.[2] A week later, Liam Garrigan was cast in the final series regular role as Gah’ree, an alien sociopath who is one of the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy.[4]

Filming[edit]

Filming for the series will take place in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.[7] Production on the pilot started on March 16, 2018, and wrapped up on April 5.[8]
