Plot[edit]

Anna, Joe and Nick meet Edward at the news studio, where he escaped. They are surrounded by news moles so they find a gap and run away. Back at the mansion, Joe tunes into the radio (which he got from the previous episode) and Anna and Nick chastise Edward. Loren runs in, full of jollity. Loren then receives a phone call saying the account is at 4.9 Billion dollars, but he gets depressed when they say they can't accept it. He is about to evict them.

Meanwhile, Kaos gets a phone call in Luna's bedroom, but is shocked because he just repaired his relationship with her. He decides to take her for a walk in the park. Back at the mansion, Loren learns about the gang's true identity as aliens, to which he congratulates himself of figuring out. Anna sends him home to pack his valuables. Joe claims he 'believes' the truck will survive the weight.

It is night. The aliens finish packing, but Kaos is nowhere to be found. Anna runs to Luna's bedroom to find him. Kaos and Luna are kissing, and Anna runs in, out of breath. She aggravates Luna when she has to literally explain that they have to break up. She gives Kaos and Luna their last moment in privacy. Kaos tries to explain to Luna, but she calls for a divorce. Kaos then slips a sleeping pill into his mouth, then, in a kiss, slips it into her mouth and lets it dissolve, putting Luna to sleep and wiping her memory of Kaos. Kaos then packs his duffel bag and leaves with a fleeting glance.

Meanwhile, in Loren's limousine, he talks about 'new beginnings' with his stuffed rabbit. He pulls up to the lawn and parks, then grabs his belongings, says goodbye to his beloved limousine and rushes off. He throws his stuff in the truck and climbs in. Anna and Kaos arrive, Anna out of breath. They climb in and drive off.

At the red light, about to turn off on the freeway, Kaos leans his head out, but catches the attention of Mike Sobel. He tries to get rid of him with small talk. Anna suggests asking him about his day (bad), Joe suggests asking him about his wife (bad) and Mike brings up the 'Edward is really and alien' theory. Edward slumps down in his seat. Loren then reveals he had a magic act as a kid to which Nick sarcastically says it was helpful. Kaos then takes his smoke bomb, detonates it, blocking Mike's vision and the light turns green and the truck blasts off into the sky....

In the final scene, Luna is washing her hands in the sink in her basement. She notices her wedding ring but thinks she is drunk. She then takes a second look at it, and realizes its pure gold! She decides she can get some money off it and move away, so she pockets it and leaves the room, and thus endeth thy sitcom.

Production[edit]

The episode count for the final season was 9 as opposed to 8 due to there not being enough room for a finale in the usual commitment. Filming took place over the first days on 2020, with the entire cast each allowed to pick members of the public or celebrities to watch the taping. The episode was described to "tie up the last loose ends" left by the previous and next-to-last episode, The Transmission, which set up the plot lines by having Edward be interviewed. The last filmed scene with all 7 cast members in shot was the cold open of this episode.

After production wrapped up, the entire cast, including the director of every episode and the surprise guest star Mike Sobel, all were individually announced to come out of the main door on the set to bow to the audience. The Barraclough Series marks the last live-action sitcom to be filmed in front of a live audience, beating The Big Bang Theory by 8 months.

Reception[edit]

The episode was well-received. A lot of pressure was put on to see the aliens together for one last ride of insanity, continuing the traditional chaos taking place in all the episodes. While somewhat rushed and simple, the well-executed acting skills from the cast delivered the final "masterpiece" episode of the series.
