The Honeyman and the Hunter is a 2019 book by Scottish author Neil Grant.

The book is about Rudra, an Indian-Australian boy, who after discovering a tiger skull in his father's boat, has his life change significantly. When his grandmother dies, Rudra travels to India to place her ashes into her birthplace.

Reception[edit]

Kirkus Reviews noted that the book was reminiscent of Amitav Ghosh’s The Hungry Tide, stating that it was a "richly realized coming-of-age story about discovering one’s roots and the nuances of family relationships".[1]
