The International action group for peace in Libya is an international assembly, was founded by by former prime minister of Libya, Mr Omar al-Hassi and Dr Mahmoud Refaat, the president of the European Institute for International Law and International Relations with numerous of international personalities from Europe and the international community.

Mr Omar al-Hassi is the president and Dr Mahmoud Refaat is the general coordinator of the International action group for peace in Libya.

Objective[edit]

The Objective of the International action group for peace in Libya is to put an end to the conflicts in this country through the international community in general but particular through the international justice. In a press conference on 12th of May 2018 hold in Africa hotel in Tunis attended by Members of European parliament, and numerous different persons of the international community, both Mr Omar al-Hassi and Dr Mahmoud Refaat inaugurated The International action group for peace in Libya. Dr Mahmoud Refaat who is the general coordinator of the International action group for peace in Libya announced the cooperation with the International Criminal Court as venue to bring peace to Libya also extending links with different bodies in the international community in order to achieve this peace, while Mr Omar al-Hassi announced political, economic, social and military projects to be adopted inside Libya.

Activities[edit]

  • The International action group for peace in Libya launched some initiatives with Middle East and Mediterranean peace Research Institute concerning peace in the capital of Libya after attacks of military groups during August and September 2018 and could find a settlement which resulted a ceasefire.
