The Last Dinner Party are an English indie pop band formed in London, UK in 2021. They released their first single, "Nothing Matters" on April 19, 2023.[1]. The band currently consists of singer Abigail Morris, bassist Georgia Davies, keyboardist Aurora Nishevci, and guitarists Lizzie Mayland and Emily Roberts. Before releasing any music, they were able to open for the Rolling Stones at London's Hyde Park[2]

Biography

The band was formed in 2021, originally under the name The Dinner Party before altering the name prior to releasing their first single. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the band initially struggled to get started before playing their first live show at The George in November 2021[3]. They toured London's live music circuit at venues such as The Windmill, Venue MOT[4], MOTH Club, XOYO, and appeared at festivals such as Live at Leeds and Mutations Festival. They are noteworthy for gathering a cult following with only live appearances and uploading their shows online before releasing any music. After signing with Universal Music[5], they released their first single "Nothing Matters", produced by James Ford.

They have cited their musical influences to include Kate Bush and David Bowie.

They announced their first UK and EU tour via Instagram on April 6th.
