The Logical Indian is an independent and public spirited media organization.

Background[edit]

The Logical Indian[1] shares content over various platforms to over 50 million people[2]. The site now has 6 million followers on Facebook[3] and has an overall presence of close to 10 million on social media including Instagram[4], Twitter[5], LinkedIn[6] and YouTube[7].

The Logical Indian is run by Creatiwox Pvt Ltd, a company founded in 2013 and is based in Bengaluru, India, led by Abhishek Mazumdar and Anurag Mazumdar.[8] About 70 percent of its audience comes from inside of India and around 30 percent outside India with a majority of those being from the United States, Middle east and SouthEast Asia. Sponsored stories make up for the majority of their revenue.[2] along with Programmatic ads generated from published content. As of September 2020, it's Alexa India rank is 3366.[9]

Milestones[edit]

Building one of the most influential digital communities: The Logical Indian, went beyond just reporting too, they took initiatives, collaborated with stakeholders and were able to bring policy level changes. One such highlight out of many is when the Good Samaritan Law was finally passed by the honourable supreme court of India as a result of our year long digital campaign. We had partnered with Save Life Foundation who were leading the policy/advocacy front while we were leading the digital amplification front. We take pride in building this community of socially conscious people. The Logical Indian community recently raised over INR 1.5 Crores in response to the COVID outbreak in the country to help a bunch of non-profits who were handling the migrant crisis.[10]

International footprints: Within just 5 years of the existence, The Logical Indian represented Indian media at multiple distinguished global platforms[2], also had international journalists being a part of the exchange programs.

Controversies[edit]

The Logical Indian has had its fair share of mistakes and have had to own up their mistakes publicly as well. The facts were misinterpreted and made public and then the apology and corrections were done and acknowledged as well.[11] Whenever there is a factual misrepresentation or times when things needed to be clarified, The Logical Indian did it on their own and have made sure they owned up to it.[12]
