The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) Regimental Pipes and Drums
The Lorne Scots Pipes and Drums is a Canadian Army highland pipe band unit. The pipe band provides musical support to The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) and is one of the smaller of many Canadian military bands.[1] They are based out of the Col J.R. Barber Armoury in Georgetown, Ontario.[2] The Regimental Pipes and Drums are part of Dufferin Company, the regiment's combat service support company and is made up of serving members of the regiment and volunteer musicians.[3] Currently, the pipes and drums are under the direction of Drum Major Jeffrey Boyle and Pipe Major Jeremy Federico.
Today, it provides musical support for the following events and musical requirements of the band:

The Pipes and Drums of the Lorne Scots was the first Primary Reserve Pipe Band to play at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performing in 1960 and again in 1970. It has performed for Queen Elizabeth II, Governors General, Lieutenant Governors, Prime Minister, and various Premiers of Ontario. The band has toured the United Kingdom and the United States at various engagements, including playing at the Tower of London in the former nation.[4] In 2015, the band took part in the Fortissimo Sunset Ceremony.[5]
