The Mantra Discord is an instrumental progressive rock band based in Southern California that formed in early 2021. Their style of music employs elements of darker math rock, post rock, and experimental music. The band currently consists of Russ Weisenthal and Jeremy Arcibal.
Formation and Debut
The band was formed in 2021 by Russ Weisenthal and Jeremy Arcibal, who had done previous bands together and decided to shift directions from deathcore to an instrumental progressive rock duo.[1]
In May 2021, their debut single "Impressions" was released and gained over 25,000 streams in its first week.[2]
On June 29, 2021, it was announced that the band was working on their full length album to be released in late Winter 2021/early Spring 2022.[3]
