The Memory of Our People

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Memory of Our People is a magazine published in the Argentine city of Rosario, a province of Santa Fe. The magazine was founded in 2004. Its original title in Spanish is "La Memoria de Nuestro Pueblo".

History[edit]

The Memory of Our People is published by the Center for Political Studies, Economic and Social. "The Future Has History" is devoted to recovering voices, mostly from the recent past, and to provide testimony about Argentine history, the arts, the social sciences, politics and Latin America in general. It has published articles, reviews, case studies and trials by more than one hundred authors, many of whom are graduates of the National University of Rosario. A large percentage of them are or have studied in the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, with another large group formed by current or former students of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations. There is also a significant presence of columnists from the area of social sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. However, this does not mean membership is excluded based on academic status. In contrast, the magazine strives to speak with absolute freedom, critically and even iconoclastically, as long as it supports the unimpeded and unrestricted defense of democratic governance and human rights.
