The Nooq
The Nooq is a ski chalet located in Whitefish, Montana. It measures 2,600-square-foot inspired by Scandinavian design principles. The chalet became popular through Instagram and received national coverage for its location.[1][2][3][4]

Designed by photographers Alex Strohl and Andrea Dabene, The Nooq has its roots in the French natives' experiences in Montana. In 2014, seeking respite from urban life, they explored Montana together. This experience, coupled with Alex's familial connection to the region, led them to relocate permanently, purchasing the plot in Whitefish in 2015. The construction of The Nooq was completed in 2019.[5][6]
Architecture[edit]
The architectural design of The Nooq showcases a monochromatic exterior of birch white and jet-black.[7][8]
The interior comprises three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a kitchen.[9]
Reception[edit]
Since its inception, The Nooq has garnered attention on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, where it has amassed a following for its aesthetic appeal. Responding to requests from followers, Strohl and Dabene made The Nooq available for short-term rentals via Airbnb, describing it as a "Scandinavian Minimalist Ski Chalet."[10][11]
