Plot summary[edit]

In the beginning, Little Fox is walking in the forest. After that, he hears the voice of Echo, which has no body. Little Fox and Old Echo become friends and play hide-and-seek together. Later on the Little Fox returns home and tells his father about a new friend. It turned out that when Fox's dad was little, he also played with echo. When night falls, Fox's dad goes into the forest. In the forest, Fox's dad meets Old Echo and remembers his past childhood. The cartoon ends with Fox's dad and Old Echo starting to play the same way they did many years ago.

Sequel[edit]

A year after the release of the first cartoon, it was continued. In 1990 the cartoon "Strawberry Rain" was released. In 1991 the third cartoon in the series was released - "Moth". After the collapse of the Soviet Union, in the '90s, with the support of the Russian State Television Ostankino, several sequels were released at once: "Fog from London" and "Hey, on the other side!" in 1992, "An apple growing on a fir" in 1993 and "Moon Path" and "Summer Snowman" in 1994.

Quotes[edit]

  • Little Fox: Where are you hiding? In the hollow? In grass?

Wait, I think I got it! Are you already playing hide-and-seek with me?

Old Echo: No. I'm not hiding from you. I just do not have a body, I am invisible as a melted cloud.

  • Little Fox: Well, if you are like a melted cloud, how will I catch you? Let's do the opposite. You will look for me!
  • Fox's dad: Echo doesn't how to play. You say "Good morning" and it says "Good morning". You say "Goodbye" and it says "Goodbye". It's no fine.
