The Pale White are a three piece Alternative Rock band from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Consisting of brothers Adam and Jack Hope, and Tom Booth, the band formed in 2016 and began to gain attention after a string of sold out shows in their native city. Releasing their debut singe "Reaction" in 2017, the song was made BBC Radio One Track of the Week and the group were invited to perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival. Throughout 2017, the group supported artists such as Twin Atlantic and The Amazons on their UK tours and played festivals such as Reading & Leeds, Kendal Calling, Live at Leeds, Neighbourhood Festival and Pitchfork Festival in Paris. Later that year, the group opened for The Libertines and Slaves in Newcastle and also supported Madness band at Hardwick Live. The band released their debut EP "The Pale White" under Ignition Records in September 2017, which was a collection of their early releases.
In 2018, the band supported American Indie band We Are Scientists on a UK and Ireland tour and also opened for Sea Girls on their sell out UK tour. In October 2018, the band released their sophomore EP "Take Me To The Strange" on their own label imprint, Illegal Cinema. The EP included the lead single "Wisdom Tooth" which was championed heavily by BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders.
In 2019, the group released their single "Medicine", which was their first collaboration with producer Jolyon Thomas. The band embarked on a sell out northern leg of their UK tour and supported Sam Fender on his European tour. As well as completing the southern leg of their own UK tour, the band supported both Ten Tonnes and Foals on a series of shows.
In 2020, the band were named as one of Amazon Music's Ones To Watch and joined Sam Fender on a second tour of Europe. The band recorded their debut album "Infinite Pleasure" at Big Jelly Studios, Margate, during the summer of 2020. Released in 2021 through AWAL, the record was produced by Jolyon Thomas.
