Kanhwara is a village situated in a Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. This village belongs to Jabalpur division. It is located at 12 kms from Katni and almost 356 km from Bhopal the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Katni, Murwara, Maihar, Sihora, Satna, Jabalpur are some of the near by cities to Kanhwara. There is also a railway station nearby to the Kanhwara village named Patwara which is around 5 kms from Kanhwara from where passengers trains can be opted if you have to travel to local or nearby cities such as Satna, Jabalpur, Maihar, Rewa etc. Next a railway junction nearby to Kanhwara is situated at Katni district as New Katni Junction. When it comes to know something interesting about Kanhwara is that Shiv Temple situated in this village is very mysterious in itself. Also on the occasion of Mahashivratri a fair is organised which continues for upto 12-15 after mahashivratri i.e. starting from Mahashivratri and ends up before Holi festival.
