The Stringer is a free to read Australian-based online site and includes feature writing on a variety of topics – including Aboriginal Australia, Aboriginal world politics, politics in general, human rights and the environment.

The Stringer was launched on 20 February 2013 by its founder and producer and principal editor, Jennifer Kaeshagen. "The Stringer" includes contributing editor, Gerry Georgatos.[1] The Stringer has established writers and contributors from around the world, and lists more than 30 contributors and correspondents.[1]

The Stringer has delved into some difficult topics such as the suicide crisis among Australia's Indigenous peoples.[2]

In addition to "The Stringer" news reporting and feature writing, "The Stringer" delves into social justice and human rights campaigns, advocating to the point of securing outcomes.[3] "The Stringer" has campaigned for homeless families,[4] and for the funding of "suicide prevention" programs and services.[5] "The Stringer" has multiple campaigns at any one time and is also known for its relationship with Wheelchairs for Kids.[6][not in citation given]
