The Thursday Times (Urdu: تھرسڈے ٹائمز) is a bilingual daily online newspaper published in Pakistan.[1] It is published simultaneously from three Pakistani cities — Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi. The Thursday Times' operations and maintenance are carried out by its parent company in Lahore, Thursday Media Group. It has a worldwide readership of over 200,000.[1]
History[edit]
The Thursday Times was first published in December 2020.[2] It publishes opinion pieces and news articles in both English and Urdu, as well as in regional Pakistani languages such as Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto, and Punjabi.[3] It also regularly features contributions from aspiring journalists for its op-ed section.[4]
The newspaper mainly focuses on publishing columns on political and social issues in Pakistan. Its editorial desk consists of a number of ministers and former diplomats.
