The Uninhabitable Earth is an upcoming anthology series based on the magazine article by David Wallace-Wells.
Premise[edit]
A series of stories with the recurring theme of climate change and it's effects on the planet and society. Each episode focuses on different elements regarding the dangers of climate change, ranging from rising sea levels, extreme heat events, mass extinction, dormant disease outbreaks, fires, droughts, and increased geopolitical conflict, among others. Each episode presents a worst case scenario of events that could feasibly happen if left unchecked.
Production[edit]
It was announced in January 2020 that HBO Max had ordered the series, with Adam McKay serving as executive producer. An anthology series, it will see different writers and directors collaborating on the show to tell different stories.[1]
