The Unsound is an upcoming American thriller film directed by David F. Sandberg, based on the comic book of the same name by Cullen Bunn & Jack T. Cole.
Plot
Psychiatrist Ashli returns to the insane asylum where her mother is now a patient. As she discovers hard truths about her own past, she comes to understand the hospital is hiding its own secrets, and perhaps she and her mother have more in common than she realized.

Development
On November 7, 2019, Netflix and Boom! Entertainment announced they will develop a film based on “The Unsound,” with Skyler James writing and producing the film, Stephen Christy, Adam Yoelin, and Ross Ritchie producing the film through Boom! Entertainment, and David F. Sandberg directing and producing with Lotta Losten through Mångata.[1]
