The Witchverse is an upcoming anthology animated series created by Eric Darnell for Disney+. The series is being produced by Baobab Studios and Disney Television Animation.
Synopsis
The series is an anthology that explores misconceptions of witches from multiple cultures across the world.[1]

Development
On December 15, 2021, it was reported that Baobab Studios' chief creative officer (CCO) Eric Darnell would be producing an anthology series titled The Witchverse for Disney+. The series will be produced by Baobab Studios and Disney Television Animation.[1] The series is based on the Baobab Studios short film Baba Yaga, which will serve as the basis for its first episode.[1] On September 27, 2023, Osnat Shurer joined the series' production crew as one of her first projects after being hired as Baobab's co-CCO.[2]
Casting
In September 2023, it was reported that Baba Yaga cast members Kate Winslet, Jennifer Hudson, Daisy Ridley and Glenn Close would star in the series.[2][3]
Animation
The series will use multiple animation styles and techniques, including computer animation, hand-drawn animation, and stop-motion.[1]
