The iKon - Film & Television initiative is a programme by SAUTIplus Media Hub that recognizes and rewards implementers and personalities in the Film and Television and Mainstream Media in Uganda and ultimately, Afrika. Formally The iKon awards is an initiative,[1] The new annual initiative is now presented by SAUTIplus Media Hub.
Background[edit]
The iKon awards, formally Ikons awards initiative was born from the idea and need to reward outstanding innovations, influencers, and icons within the Ugandan community.[2] The iKon new Ikon Awards will now solely reward and recognize exceptional individuals and organizations that carry the spirit of creativity, innovation and enterprise in the Film and Television society in 32 categories.
