Thibault (pronounced tibo or maybe teebo) is a 29 year old award winning director & Film- maker based in Sydney, Australia.
Biography[edit]
Thibault Upton is an Australian film maker. Upton was Born on the 27/7/1990 in Darlinghurst and grew up in Sydney, Australia. He started making short films when he was young, and spent four years at University of Technology Sydney.
Upton directed 'Stuart X'.[1]. An award winning film in 2019[2]
Career[edit]
After directing and producing a series of ads made for most noticeably Australia’s first Netflix production Oscillating Fan for Your Home in 2015 .Upton focused on a series of documentaries until 2020.
Documentaries for advertising agency VCCP Sydney with Simon Harsent for ‘Grow Bold’ by Feros care[3] then ‘Stuart X’ [4] narrated by Cate Blanchett in 2019 focused on the Australian care and disability sectors respectively. They had exhibitions[5], screenings internationally at film festivals [6] and won several awards at these screenings [7]
Upton created a series of commissioned surf films for O’neill including Max Bio Molecular & Transmutation in 2019 - 2020.
Which where released free by most of the largest surf publications in the world including Stab[8] and Tracks [9]
