Thiruvalluvar Consultancy Services is a 2020 Tamil-language comedy web series created, written and directed by Dude Vicky, for Blacksheep Originals. The film features Harbhajan Singh as a modern-day interpretation of the Tamil poet Tiruvalluvar, and also stars RJ Vigneshkanth, Chutti Aravind, Nandini Madhesh and Teju Ashwini.

Production[edit]
The series was announced at the special ceremony held at Forum Vijaya Mall in Chennai on 16 December 2019, followed by a new streaming platform which the original series will be premiered.[1] Dude Vicky was announced to direct the series titled Thiruvalluvar Consultancy Services, which parodying the immortal sage poet Thiruvalluvar. The director Vicky stated in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, saying that "Thirukkural is considered as one of the world’s greatest works on ethics and morality. It is famous for its universality and secular messages. Yet, we felt that the book is not being given enough attention in the current digital world. That’s why I pitched a story in which Tiruvalluvar comes alive and helps the present-day IT guys who suffer innumerable pressures and problems, through his kurals."[2]
Harbhajan Singh was assigned to interpret the modern-day version of the sage.[3] The team stated that Harbhajan resembled the poet in a way and also his interest in Tamil-language made him cast for the role.[4] Artist Venugopal Sharma was roped in for the sketch of the poet-sage with Harbhajan as the model, for which the latter being impressed. Singh was alloted two days for the shoot and his portions were simultaneously in day and night.[5] Major shooting portions of the series had been completed in November 2019 even before the announcement and the shooting was completed in December 2019.[6]
Music[edit]
A single from the film titled "90's Kids Anthem" was released in the music video format on 26 October 2020. Composed by Jen Martin, the song was sung by Deva and written by RJ Vigneshkanth. It was choreographed by Azhar and was shot within a single take.[7]
Release[edit]
The series was initially slated to release on 2 February 2020, in their special award ceremony held at this date. However, due to technical difficulties, the launch of the OTT platform which supposed to premiere the series was postponed indefinitely.[5] On 6 October 2020, the concept poster of the series was unveiled on social media platforms, with the release of the series being announced officially.[8] On 2 November 2020, the makers premiered the series along with its four other original series on BS Value, the team's newly launched OTT streaming service.[9] Later, on 30 November 2020, the makers uploaded the first episode through its official YouTube channel, with subsequent episodes being released the following week.[9]
